Economic Reforms and Fiscal Strength: The Minister cited the fuel subsidy removal, resulting in the plugging of substantial financial leakages; the introduction of the Electronic Foreign Exchange Matching System (EFEMS), leading to FX market stability and a recent eight-month high for the Naira; and significant oil and gas investment attracting over $5 billion in Final Investment Decisions (FIDs), making Nigeria the most attractive destination for such investment in Africa.

Further economic progress includes the passage of the 2024 Electricity Act, granting state governments greater power over electricity markets, and a landmark Supreme Court ruling granting unprecedented financial autonomy to local governments.
