New Youth Assembly Speaker Hails Matawalle’s Leadership, Loyalty To Tinubu

ABUJA, NIGERIA – The newly elected National Speaker of the Youth Assembly of Nigeria (YAN), Comrade Famuyibo Oluwasegun, has praised the Honourable Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Muhammed Bello Matawalle, for his leadership and loyalty to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

During his acceptance speech at the national election held at Agura Hotels in Abuja over the weekend, Oluwasegun described Matawalle as a role model for young Nigerians, highlighting his commitment to fighting banditry and terrorism in the North West and beyond.

He specifically lauded Matawalle’s loyalty to President Tinubu.

“After God Almighty, the Minister of State for Defence and former Governor of Zamfara state, Dr. Bello Matawalle was a prominent factor to my victory,” said Oluwasegun, who hails from Ekiti State.

“My mentor, His Excellency Dr. Matawalle extended an unalloyed hand of leadership, direction and support to me, which were instrumental to making my victory a reality.”

Oluwasegun expressed gratitude to the YAN Board of Trustees, Convention Planning Committee, and delegates for electing him to lead the 4th Assembly of Nigerian Youths.

Acting BoT Chairman of YAN, Hon. Gt. C Samuel, also addressed the newly elected leadership, urging them to serve as good ambassadors for Nigerian youth both within and outside the country.

He encouraged them to use their intellect and planning skills to ensure a successful inauguration of the 4th Assembly.

Majority Leader: Sadiq Abubakar (Borno state)
Deputy Majority Leader: Ezeanikwe Charles
National Chief Whip: Raymond Sylvanus (Cross Rivers state)
National Minority Leader: Jennifer Ornguga (Benue state)
Diaspora Ambassador: Jude Chinonso
