All 3,780 staff members of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) are participating in a comprehensive capacity-building program designed to enhance service delivery.

According to a statement by NIMC spokesman, Dr. Kayode Adegoke, this training, encompassing all departments and units within the Commission, is in direct response to President Bola Tinubu’s directive promoting staff development across Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).

Dr. Adegoke emphasised that, historically, staff training and development at NIMC had been significantly under-resourced. However, the appointment of Engr. (Dr.) Abisoye Coker-Odusote, as the Director-General/CEO, has ushered in a transformative shift.

He further stated that NIMC staff nationwide, across states and local government areas and irrespective of rank, have either completed or are currently undergoing capacity building programs designed to support the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu’s administration.

Since assuming office, Engr. Coker-Odusote has not only implemented significant organisational improvements but has also introduced numerous staff welfare initiatives that have demonstrably boosted morale.

Dr. Adegoke concluded by noting that staff from state and local government offices deeply appreciate Engr. (Dr.) Coker-Odusote for championing inclusive staff development, prioritising staff welfare, providing essential work tools and resources (including modern furniture), fostering a positive work environment through unprecedented welfare packages, and cultivating a workforce dedicated to achieving the goals of President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
