The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Southwest (Zone D) has strongly condemned the brutal killing of Adedamola Ogunbode, a recent graduate of Lagos State University (LASU), who was allegedly murdered by a self-proclaimed prophet in Ojo, Lagos State.

This tragic incident has once again exposed the alarming security lapses that continue to endanger students and young Nigerians.

Kuku Isaiah Eromidayo, he called on the Lagos State Government, security agencies, and law enforcement authorities to take immediate and decisive action to bring the perpetrators to justice. The student body emphasized that no student should have to live in fear or lose their life due to the failure of the government to provide adequate security.

NANS Southwest is demanding:

3. Regulation of Religious Institutions – There must be stricter oversight of religious bodies to prevent fraudulent individuals from using religion as a cover for criminal activities.
