NDDC Celebrates 25 Years Of Service, Highlights Electrification Of Ovia North-East LGA
The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) commemorated its 25th anniversary today by highlighting a significant achievement: the electrification of Edo State’s Ovia North-East Local Government Area (LGA).
The commission stated that this project, carried out within the scope of its mandate and available resources, has significantly improved the lives of residents.
For the past 25 years, the NDDC has worked to address the needs of the Niger Delta region, and the electrification of Ovia North-East is regarded as a significant milestone.
The initiative has reportedly resulted in better living conditions, lower living costs, and increased local economic activity. According to the NDDC, reliable electricity supply has boosted regional commerce.
In its statement, the commission emphasised its commitment to ongoing development projects within its mandate, despite limited resources.
The success in Ovia North-East is being hailed as evidence of the NDDC’s commitment to improving the lives of Niger Delta residents.
Residents of Ovia North-East, in turn, are grateful for the availability of electricity, crediting the NDDC with a tangible improvement in their standard of living.
The NDDC’s statement did not include any additional information about the electrification project’s specific scope or future maintenance.
