Tinubu Congratulates Trump On Re-Election, Promises Strengthened US-Nigeria Ties
ABUJA, NIGERIA – President Bola Tinubu has extended his congratulations to President Donald Trump on his re-election as the 47th President of the United States of America.
In a statement released by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu expressed his confidence that Trump’s return to the White House will usher in a new era of cooperation between Nigeria and the US.
“President Tinubu looks forward to strengthening the ties between Nigeria and the United States amid the complex challenges and opportunities of the contemporary world,” the statement reads.
“Together, we can foster economic cooperation, promote peace, and address global challenges that affect our citizens.”
President Tinubu highlighted the significance of Trump’s victory, stating that it reflects the trust and confidence the American people have placed in his leadership.
He also congratulated the American people on their commitment to democracy.
Tinubu specifically highlighted the potential for enhanced economic partnerships between Africa and the United States under Trump’s leadership.
He believes Trump’s experience as the 45th president will allow him to foster mutually beneficial development initiatives between the two continents.
