POMR Applauds Tinubu For Emulating Obi In The Borehole Projects
The office of Peter Obi Media Reach, (POMR) has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for responding to our Principal, the Labour Party’s Presidential Candidate in the 2023 election, Peter Obi, who has asked wealthy Nigerians to join him in ensuring the provision of boreholes across the country for the downtrodden in our midst.
Obi began the project after witnessing the difficulties that many Nigerians face in obtaining basic necessities such as drinking water. He had already installed boreholes as a temporary solution in some Northern states, including Nasarawa, Bauchi, Kano, Zaria, Kebbi, Suleja Niger State, and Sokoto, where the situation was critical.
At the special anniversary of his mother’s death, Alhaji Abibatu Magaji, in Abuja over the weekend, the President announced a nationwide project to build 400 boreholes as a continuation of charity in her memory.
The POMR commends the President’s charitable spirit, which is consistent with our principal’s desire to help the poor in our community.
POMR would like to advise that the President’s new line of thinking be reflected in government projects that are currently not addressing the needs of the poor in our midst.
It is still shameful that in a country where millions of people do not have access to safe drinking water, millions of children are out of school and do not have access to adequate healthcare, and millions of young people are unemployed, the government prioritises bogus projects such as coastal highways, mansions, flyovers, and the purchase of jets.
If the President’s new spirit of charity continues, it will help to lift many Nigerians out of poverty, provided it is diverse.
