Julius Berger’s Director, Bayi Is ‘Africa’s Construction Person Of The Year’
Alhaji Zubairu Ibrahim Bayi, Executive Director, Administration of Julius Berger Nigeria Plc, was named Continental Construction Person of the Year last weekend.
The annual African Housing Development Excellence Award, organised by the African International Housing Show, aims to recognise the professional achievements of individuals and firms in the housing construction and development industry across the African built environment.
According to the organisers, this year’s event is a fantastic opportunity to recognise outstanding achievements and innovations in the African housing sector. According to the organisers, it celebrates individuals and organisations that are defining the future of housing on the continent, from breakthrough architecture to sustainable housing solutions.
Indeed, it was a lively atmosphere filled with industry experts, influential leaders, and business leaders all dedicated to advancing Africa’s housing landscape, with plenty of networking opportunities for attendees to connect with like-minded professionals and form valuable partnerships. Traditional African dancers were not forgotten in the industry’s celebration of achievement.
In the middle of the preceding developments, AlhajiBayi was named Africa’s Construction Person of the Year 2023.
An elated Bayi said after receiving the Award plaque from the Chairman of the Board of the African International Housing Show, Hon. Suleiman Hassan, “After four decades of dedicated service to the engineering construction industry, I have been recognised as the 2023 Construction Person of the Year at Africa’s foremost Housing development arena.” There is no better way to tell me that I have done well in the industry; I am overjoyed.”
Earlier in his welcome address, Hon. Hassan hailed the event as a night of reward for the honorees’ contributions to housing and development in Africa, among other things.
The Awardee, Alhaji Zubairu Ibrahim Bayi, a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Building and executive director, administration of Julius Berger Nigeria Plc, was accompanied to the historic event by the company’s Acting Senior Media Relations Manager, Emmanuel Isibor.
