Mrs Otti Commends State Ministry Of Justice For Building ICT Workstation 

The wife of the governor of Abia State, Mrs Priscilla Otti has assured that the administration of her husband, Governor Alex Otti will not relent in carrying out fully its campaign promises.

The governor’s wife who spoke at the commissioning ceremony of an ICT Workstation built by the Ministry of Justice at its headquarters in Umuahia on Thursday stated that she was happy to be part of the success story of that ministry under Governor Otti’s administration.

She lauded the ministry for ensuring that the administration of justice is electronically based in its scope of jurisdiction instead of the former trend of running it in an analogue form.

“With so much joy in my heart, I hereby commission this landmark project, in the name of God the Father, of the Son and the Holy Spirit”, she declared.

The Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in Abia State, Barr Ikechukwu Uwaoma explained that ICT Workstation was set up in line with global trend of making everything go digital, adding that it was sponsored by Governor Alex Otti to ensure that the administration of justice is electronically based.

He stated that the state government has introduced e-governance in virtually all its programmes and will not encourage the use of analogue in governance as the doctrine e-judiciary, e-governance etc is now the mantra.

The Director of Legal Services, Mrs. Ajike Uwaoma disclosed that the service provider, EDK International Agency Nigeria Limited will ensure the maintenance of the ICT station for one year.

The Executive Director, EDK International Agency Nigeria Limited, Edward Kanu told journalists that his company started and completed the world class ICT centre on the agreed time and date, saying that the company had equally built and delivered bigger ones in other places like the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Umuahia .
