Julius Berger Nigeria Plc Holds Maiden Annual Cultural Day In Celebration Of Nigeria’s Cultural Diversity
Julius Berger Nigeria Plc’s management and workers celebrated the first edition of the company’s Annual Cultural Day on Friday amid fanfare with staff, Nigerians, and expats representing the country’s numerous tribes.
The occasion, which was celebrated countrywide at the Julius Berger Group’s head office in Abuja as well as all operational regions and sites, saw workers resplendently adorned in varied local attires displaying the rich culture of the peoples of Nigeria.
In Abuja, the event was kicked off by the Head of the Human Resources Department, Olorunfemi Ojomo, who welcomed staff members and other visitors, encouraging them to appreciate the significance of the ceremony as a celebration of the rich and diverse culture of the warm and dynamic Nigerian community.

He encouraged the personnel to be proud of their varied cultures, noting that their differences generate passions that strengthen, unite, and galvanize them as one huge family. The Day, he said, adding that it is now on the company’s Calendar and will be an annual event following the successful inauguration.
Christle Thomas, the Regional Manager (Technical), who dressed up as a proud representative of the South-eastern Igbo tribe at the occasion, did not mince words when she stated, “…today we all stand up to represent each Nigerian tribe as possible.”
We are celebrating our cultural variety by wearing traditional Nigerian attire and sampling local cuisines such as soups and other meals. We are having our first Cultural Day.
It commemorates the celebration of our cultural variety in Nigeria, and we want to harvest all of the benefits that such values bring, which will improve the operational efficiency of all workers.”
