The World Cup finalists dominated at the Parc de Princes in the country’s 900th match, with the Real Madrid midfielder capping off a superb first-half effort by arrowing a shot into the corner of the net from Kylian Mbappe’s set-up assist in 19 minutes.

Captain Mbappe was also involved in the second goal, as his attempted finish was stopped on 48 minutes, before replacement Marcus Thuram pounced on the loose ball to swivel and clinically bury his first international goal.
