Governor Otti Meets With Prospective Commissioners

On Monday, Abia State Governor Alex Otti met with the candidates whose names had been forwarded to the State House of Assembly to serve as commissioners in the state.

The list of 19 people was provided last Friday by the governor to the Speaker of the Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Emeruwa, in a letter dated June 30, 2023, signed in his name and presented by the Office of the Secretary to the State Government.

Dr. Otti met with the nominees in the conference room of his office shortly before the awaiting commissioners proceeded to the State Assembly complex for screening by the House Adhoc Committee members.

Some top members of the Dr. Otti administration, including the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Kenneth Kalu, and the Chief of Staff, Dr. Caleb Ajagba, were present at the meeting, according to a statement from Kazie Uko, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Abia State.
