Gov. Buni Commends Past Leaders As Yobe Celebrates 31 Anniversary
Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State has commended the people of the state including past leaderforin making the state what it is in 31 years.
The governor, in his message of felicitation on the occasion of thstate’ste 31st anniversary at the weekend, commended previous leaders and the people of the state for their individual and collective contribution toward placing the state on the path of peace and development.
He said every one of the past leaders made generoucontributionson to make the Yobe state what it is today, while the people extended their support and cooperation to the building of the state.
He said: “As leaders of the state at various times, you have made tremendous contributions to the state that makes us all proud.”
Buni also commended good people of the state both at home and in the diaspora for their support and contributions to the various administrations in the state.
He said: “especially commend you all for your resilience, support and cooperation in building our dear state.
“Your strong resilience has spurred this administration towards speedy building and recovery of the state after the decade-longing Boko Haram insurgent,cy,” he said.
The governor thanked Almighty Allah for the peace now enjoyed across the state, urging the people to continue praying for improved peace and security in the state.
He noted that the support extended to his administration enabled government to rebuild schools, establish more health facilities, housing, road construction and completion of the cargo airport among others.
He however assured that his administration will continue to execute people-oriented projects and programmes to improve the lives of the people.
He prayed for more years with improved peace, security, prosperity and speedy development of the state.
