Makinde Demands Swift Investigation, Condoles Victims Of Ibadan Bullion Van Robbery
Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has condoled with victims of the bullion van robbery attack, which occurred at the Idi-Ape area of Ibadan, the state capital.
The armed robbers had attacked a bullion van at the Idi-Ape area on Thursday.
While many deserted their cars, some persons, including security personnel were killed during the attack.
Makinde in his condolence message shared via his Twitter page condoled with the victims and pledged that security agents are currently carrying out investigations.
“I received the sad news of the robbery attack at the Idi-Ape axis of Ibadan which resulted in death and injuries of residents.
“The security agencies are investigating the incident. I pray that the souls of the dead rest in peace, and ask that we keep their families in our prayers,” he wrote.
The Governor also thanked those who reached out to the emergency toll lines to report the incident.
He further expressed his appreciation to “all security officers who continue to put their lives on the line for us.”
