Highlighting initiatives in education, climate change, and agriculture, Mbah announced that a security trust fund has been launched, and the first set of drones has been deployed to monitor criminal activities.

He explained that the government is prioritising climate investments and is significantly enhancing the transportation system to align with its climate action plan for Enugu.

“Enugu State is the first sub-national entity to have an approved climate action plan supported by the Global Climate Fund. This achievement stems from our development of several bankable, climate-friendly projects.

“So, those of us in the diaspora who have connections can collaborate with us to create a supportive community for our infrastructure, as Enugu State is fully prepared,” Mbah stated.

Assuring them of the safety of their investments, Mbah said, “We are pleased to announce that our forest guards have been fully equipped and will continue recruiting individuals to patrol the depths of our forests, rooting out criminals and bringing them to justice.

“Our government is fully aware that investors will hesitate to come to Enugu if the state is not secure, for investments gravitate towards peace.

“That’s why the government has prioritized security from the outset and will continue to do so.”

The State Commissioner for Health, Prof. George Ugwu, noted that the Mbah administration is revitalizing and expanding healthcare services from primary to tertiary levels.

He emphasized the need for Enugu diasporans to support the state’s health sector with essential manpower and equipment for health facilities.

Ugwu mentioned that the diaspora could also assist in the training and retraining of health personnel in Enugu, as well as increasing participation in the Enugu State Universal Health Insurance Scheme by registering more citizens.
