NDE Warns Public Against Fake Job Registration Scam
Abuja, Nigeria – The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has issued a strong warning to the public against a fraudulent message circulating on social media.
The message falsely claims that unemployed Nigerians can register for job placement at any NDE office nationwide for a three-week period.
In a press release issued today, the NDE categorically denied any involvement in the message, stating it is entirely fake and did not originate from any of its official channels.
The Directorate urged citizens to completely disregard the message and refrain from taking any action based on its content.
The NDE emphasized that all official announcements, programs, and directives are disseminated through verified channels only.
These include the agency’s official website, its verified social media handles, its nationwide network of offices, and reputable media outlets.
“The attention of the management…has been drawn to a message circulating on social media…claiming the registration will last for three weeks and encouraging the public to share the information widely,” the disclaimer stated.
“The NDE wishes to categorically state that this information is false and did not originate from us.”
The NDE further advised the public to exercise caution and verify any information purportedly from the Directorate through its official channels to avoid falling victim to misinformation and scams.
The agency stressed the importance of remaining vigilant against fraudulent activities.
