He said he was surprised that barely four months into his life jail term, Kanu is still there languishing for just seeking the restoration of Biafra as a separate entity.

Speaking to newsmen at Nkpor in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra state, during the funeral ceremony of Sir Ebenezer Nonso Okeke KSC, a retired director in the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN Headquarters, Abuja, Prince Okeke maintained that Kanu’s case deserves a political solution by all standards.

He therefore called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to rise to the occasion and write his name in the annals of history by applying the political solution in favour of Kanu without further delay to enable absolute peace reign in this part of the world.

On the forthcoming 2027 presidential election in the country, the erudite lawyer suggested that Tinubu should be allowed to go for his second tenure to enable him complete the good works he has started in his first tenure.

On the fate of Mr. Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of Labour Party, now a presidential aspirant under the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Okeke declared: “I like Peter Obi, but political circumstance may not favour him this time around because election is not a social media affair”.
