Gov. Fubara Expresses Condolences To Akwa Ibom Governor Over Wife’s Death

The Rivers State government has condoled with the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, on the death of his wife, Pastor Mrs. Patience Umo Eno, following a brief illness.

Governor Fubara expressed shock and sadness in a condolence message in Port Harcourt following the death of Akwa Ibom State’s First Mother on September 26, 2024.

The Governor, in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Nelson Chukwudi, on Friday, described the late Mrs. Eno as a lovely wife, a dependable pillar of support, and an inspiration to her husband, Governor Umo Eno.

“We received with sadness the news of the death of your lovely wife, Pastor Mrs. Patience Umo Eno, who transitioned to glory on September 26, 2024.

“Although death is unavoidable for all mortals; it is always painful to lose someone close to you. especially someone with whom you have shared a special bond for many years.

“This is why we truly understand how devastating this must be for you, given how close you were to your wife and the positive influence she has had on you as a strong, dependable source of support and inspiration.

“While we cannot express our condolences for your loss, please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you. In this time of grief, may the Lord encourage and strengthen you and your family.

“On behalf of the government and people of Rivers State, I ask God Almighty to give you and the entire Eno family the strength to bear this irreparable loss. Please accept our deepest condolences,” he said.
