Access Bank Launches DiamondXtra Season 15, Over 800 Customers Winning N135m
Access Bank has launched the Season 15 edition of the DiamondXtra Savings Promo to the delight of its clients who flocked to the bank’s Computer Village branch to witness the announcement.
Over 800 DiamondXtra Savings account holders are likely to walk away with a record N135 million in the Season 15 edition. DiamondXtra now has 2.4 million customers after rewarding over 26,393 clients with more than N6.35 billion since its launch.
DiamondXtra is an interest-bearing hybrid account that accepts both cash and third-party cheques as deposits.
Mr. Bolarinwa Animashaun, the bank’s Regional Sales Director, stated during the presentation that Access Bank is heavily reliant on its customers, hence their zeal to constantly go with them with the DiamondXtra Savings offer.
He said, “We have given out more than N6.3 billion since the DiamondXtra started over fifteen years ago.
“The process has always been transparent and this is why we have always been working with National Lottery Commission and the Consumer Protection Agency,” he said.
Njideka Esomeju, Group Head, Consumer Banking, Access Bank, also spoke at the unveiling ceremony in Lagos, saying DiamondXtra is one of the best things that has ever happened to banking in Nigeria.
She stated that all clients needed to do to qualify for the drawings was to register a DiamondXtra account with as low as N5000 and maintain a N5000 deposit.
She stated that twenty customers will win N10,000 each during the season 15 launch, a gesture that the bank extended to forty customers.
Her words, “After Lagos, we are going to all parts of the country with the draws and it is our way of appreciating our customers.”
Speaking on the transparency of DiamondXtra, Mrs Suzzy Onwuka of the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission’s (FCCPC) Lagos office said they had been monitoring it and could certify it as highly customer-friendly.
“Since we have been monitoring this programme, it has been transparent. We have never heard any complaint from any winner about not reviving his prize.
“Looking at their terms and conditions, they are very friendly and that attests to how they have carried on. Kudos to Access Bank for rewarding their customers,” she said.
Meanwhile, Mrs. Iheanacho, a prior winner of N1 million, who spoke on the reward campaign, complimented the bank for this and recounted how she learned of her prize, encouraged people to believe in the initiative, stressing that all it takes is creating a DiamondExtra account.
