Speaking to reporters after a meeting with 12 APC governors in Abuja on Monday, Tinubu who is known to have groomed Osinbajo politically spoke in reaction to Osinbajo’s declaration earlier in the day for the presidency.

Tinubu is himself also interested in the presidency and had in January declared that it was his life ambition.

Speaking to reporters in an interview with newsmen shortly after meeting with 12 APC governors at the meeting that took place at the Kebbi Governor’s Lodge, Asokoro, Abuja, Tinubu when asked about his reaction to the declaration of his political son, Osinbajo, for the presidency, curtly said: simply said, “I don’t have any son grown up enough to make such declaration.”

The former Lagos State governor, however, said his meeting with the 12 APC state governors was to seek their collaboration, support, and encouragement concerning his 2023 presidential ambition.

Osinbajo served as commissioner for justice and attorney general of Lagos State for two terms when Tinubu was governor of Lagos State between 1999 and 2007.

Tinubu was also believed to have also supported Osinabjo’s nomination as vice president. However, the declaration that Osinbajo is not his son may have brought their once-close relationship to the precipice.
