The launch will be jointly presided over by NDC National Leader, Senator Henry Seriake Dickson, and National Chairman, Senator Moses Cleopas.

The new platform offers a streamlined and accessible way for Nigerians, both at home and abroad, to join the party. Two dedicated portals will be available: one for residents within Nigeria and another specifically for members of the Nigerian Diaspora.

“This digital register is a modern, simplified, and user-friendly platform designed to enable Nigerians to register as members of the party,” a statement released by the NDC confirmed.

Existing members are encouraged not to re-register, as their current details will be automatically migrated to the new system.

The NDC, which prides itself on being a people-funded party, emphasised the importance of membership dues and donations in sustaining its operations and building a “strong, transparent, and people-driven ideological political movement.” While registration is free, the party welcomes financial contributions from committed members.

Registration requires information compliant with the Electoral Act, including name, address, date of birth, place of residence, state, local government area, ward, polling unit, National Identification Number (NIN), Voter’s Card number, and a passport photograph.

The NDC has assured the public that the compiled register will be submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) within the legally mandated timeframe.

HSD, in a statement accompanying the announcement, urged all Nigerians who share the party’s commitment to democracy, transparency, and national renewal to register and participate in building a “stronger and more inclusive Nigeria.”
