Dove-Haven Foundation Celebrates Patron, Prof. Eyitayo Lambo, On 80th Birthday
LOKOJA, Kogi State- The Dove-Haven Foundation (DHF), a cancer-focused NGO headquartered in Kogi State, today issued a statement celebrating the 80th birthday of its Patron, Professor Eyitayo Lambo.
The statement, released by Dr. Ekundayo Samuel, DHF’s Executive Director, lauded Professor Lambo’s lifelong dedication to public health and his invaluable contributions to the Foundation.
“Professor Lambo’s boundless energy, unparalleled wisdom, and selfless generosity have touched countless lives,” Dr. Samuel stated.
“His visionary leadership and unwavering support have been instrumental to DHF’s success over its five years of operation.”
The Foundation highlighted several key achievements directly attributed to Professor Lambo’s guidance, including reaching over one million people with cancer prevention and control information, screening hundreds for cervical and prostate cancer, training numerous health personnel, and providing support to cancer patients, particularly in underserved rural communities.
Dr. Samuel emphasized Professor Lambo’s legacy extending beyond his work with DHF. As a former Minister of Health in Nigeria, Professor Lambo championed significant public health initiatives and laid the groundwork for transformative healthcare policies.
His continued involvement with DHF sees him advocating for increased access to cancer care, early screening, and the reintegration of cancer survivors.
“Professor Lambo is more than a Patron; he is an architect of hope, a beacon of courage, and a pillar of strength,” Dr. Samuel added.
“His legacy of service, compassion, and excellence will remain etched in our hearts forever.”
The Dove-Haven Foundation expressed its heartfelt gratitude for Professor Lambo’s unwavering support and wished him continued good health and strength.
The statement concluded with a prayer for God’s abundant blessings upon him as he enters his ninth decade.
