Defence Minister Begins Operational Tour Of South East Military Installations

Enugu, Nigeria – The Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, has commenced an operational tour of military installations in Enugu and Imo States.

His visit began today with an inspection of the 82 Division of the Nigerian Army in Enugu.

Badaru was received upon arrival by the General Officer Commanding 82 Division and Commander Joint Task Force Southeast (Operation Udoka), Major-General H.T. Dada, and other high-ranking military officials.

The tour aims to assess the operational readiness and capabilities of the division and other military platforms in the region.

According to a press release signed by Henshaw Ogubike, Director of Information and Public Relations, the Minister is also scheduled to meet with key stakeholders in the Southeast region to discuss strategies and the way forward for security in the area.
