Timi Frank Accuses FCT Minister Wike Of Land Grabbing, Demolishing Homes Of The Poor
Abuja, Nigeria – Political activist and former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Timi Frank, has called on President Bola Tinubu to immediately intervene in the ongoing demolition of homes in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Frank accused FCT Minister Nyesom Wike of engaging in land grabbing and using demolitions as a new form of “settlement.”
Frank alleges that Wike has revoked more land than any previous FCT Minister, with the revoked land allegedly being given to his “cronies” both within and outside the government.
He claims that Wike is using this land grabbing to enrich himself and his allies, with the courts allegedly being compromised through land and housing gifts.
“Wike pretends to be doing this for the benefit of the President, but all his activities in the FCT are for his personal benefit,” Frank stated.
He further accused the Minister of selling land to fund his alleged fight against Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara, instead of focusing on improving infrastructure and essential services in the FCT.
Frank accused Wike of causing “damage” to President Tinubu’s government and advised the President to relieve him of his duties before the situation worsens.
“If you (President) fail to do so, you will have yourself to blame. Take a decisive action against Wike who wants to destroy your government,” Frank warned.
Wike has not yet responded to these allegations.
This incident has sparked concern among residents of the FCT, who fear further displacement and loss of homes.
The situation is expected to escalate as Frank has vowed to expose Wike and his allies “at the right time.”
