The Nigerian film industry has been greatly impacted by the unexpected death of Dimeji Ajibola, the director of the critically acclaimed television series “Shanty Town,” whose tributes have been pouring in. Reports indicate that Ajibola died after a brief illness last Monday. Ajibola, who died recently, began his career as an animator and rose to prominence in the industry. He was also the creative force behind several award-winning TV ads, including iconic MTN Yello animated ads and Coca-Cola TV commercials.
