The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) charged Munju with two counts of importing and possessing illicit drugs, both of which she pleaded guilty to.

During her arrest, Munju admitted to being recruited through an online platform to transport the drugs for a fee of 10,000 Canadian dollars.
