Canada-Nigeria Business Investment Summit Fuels Economic Ties—Organisers
Toronto, Canada–THE NEWSHAUS – The third Canada-Nigeria Business Investment Summit, held recently at the Sheraton Toronto Airport Hotel and Conference Center, concluded with a resounding call for strengthened economic ties between the two nations.
The event, organised by Leadership and Governance Canada, brought together high-level dignitaries, government officials, and influential business leaders from both countries.
Mr. Sam Adewale, President of Leadership and Governance Canada, highlighted the summit’s success in showcasing innovative Canadian and Nigerian businesses.
Several Canadian companies presented their projects to potential investors, generating significant interest and paving the way for future collaborations.
The summit, a landmark event in enhancing bilateral economic relations, featured discussions and panel sessions focused on key sectors including agriculture, infrastructure, real estate, education, technology, minerals, healthcare, and renewable energy.
Keynote addresses by government officials and industry leaders emphasised the commitment of both nations to strengthen their economic ties.

- Senator Victor Umeh, Chairman Senate Committee on Diaspora
- Hon. Touchukwu Okere, Chairman House of Representative Committee on Diaspora
- Hon Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman/CEO, Nigeria in Diaspora Commission
- Gareth Bloor, President of African Chambers of Commerce
- Wayne Florean, President of Mine Africa and many other prominent figures from both Canada and Nigeria.
The organisers, Mr Adewale and Mr Kola Esomojumi expressed their satisfaction with the summit’s success, stating that it “underlined the shared vision of both nations to collaborate for mutual growth.”
The discussions held at the event are expected to pave the way for future investments, benefiting both Canadian and Nigerian economies.
