Former Delta State Governor, Dr. Uduaghan, Celebrated For 70th Birthday, Legacy Of Service

Warri, Delta State – Former Delta State governor, Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan, was showered with praise on Monday as he celebrated his 70th birthday.

The accolades focused on his inspiring leadership, transformative humanitarian efforts, and commitment to fostering peace and development in the Niger Delta region.

The Alema of Warri, Chief Emmanuel Oritsejolomi Uduaghan, hailed the former governor as a “peace promoter and a bridge builder,” highlighting his successful implementation of a three-point agenda encompassing peace and security, human capital development, and infrastructural development.

“Your eight-year tenure as the executive governor of Delta State was glorious and memorable,” the Alema stated.

“You pursued the unity and development of Delta State with all sense of patriotism and passion.”

Chief Oritsejolomi Uduaghan detailed a long list of accomplishments during Dr. Uduaghan’s time as governor, including:

The Alema also lauded Dr. Uduaghan’s impact as Commissioner for Health, emphasizing his construction and upgrade of health centers, establishment of a special rehabilitation fund for hospitals, and fostering industrial peace through improved welfare packages.

He further highlighted Dr. Uduaghan’s administrative prowess and political sagacity, stating that he left his mark as Secretary to the State Government under Chief James Onanefe Ibori’s administration.
The Alema credited him with a “purpose-driven” approach, “dignity, grace, and generosity of spirit.”

Chief Oritsejolomi Uduaghan commended Dr. Uduaghan’s open-door policy, participatory management style, and dedication to the people of Delta State.
