Oshodi Elected President Of African Table Tennis Federation
Addis Ababa, Ethiopia- Wahid Enitan Oshodi has been elected President of the African Table Tennis Federation (ATTF), marking a watershed moment in Nigerian sports.
The announcement was made at the ATTF’s annual general meeting in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Oshodi, a seasoned sports administrator and former Lagos state commissioner for Youth, Sports, and Social Development, received strong support from African nations, demonstrating the continent’s trust in his leadership.
He was nominated by the Nigeria Table Tennis Federation (NTTF), and his election demonstrates Nigeria’s commitment to developing sports leadership.
In a statement released by his Special Adviser for Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Bola Tinubu congratulated Oshodi.
He praised his “extensive leadership experience” and expressed confidence that he will “drive ATTF and the sport to new heights of success across the continent.”
Oshodi, a former NTTF President and a member of the Commonwealth Table Tennis Federation’s (CTTF) Board of Directors, brings extensive experience to the position.
His sports administration career began in 2000, when he was appointed to the Lagos State Sports Council’s Governing Board.

President Tinubu assured Oshodi of Nigeria’s continued support as he began his new role.
