Peter Obi Condoles Makarfi, Kyari, And Tallen Families Following Deaths Of Their Children
Abuja, Nigeria – Presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 election, Peter Obi, has expressed his deepest condolences to the families of former Kaduna State Governor, Ahmed Makarfi, NNPC Group Chief Executive Officer, Mele Kolo Kyari, and former Minister of Women Affairs, Dame Pauline Tallen, following the tragic losses of their children.
In a statement posted on his X handle, Obi acknowledged the “pain of losing children with very promising future at such a young age.”
He specifically offered condolences to Makarfi on the passing of his son, Faisal, and to Kyari on the death of his daughter, Fatima.
He also extended his sympathies to Tallen on the loss of her only son, Richard Adamu Tallen, whom Obi visited last week.
Obi recognised the “vacuum created by their death” and expressed his understanding of the profound grief felt by the families.
However, he urged them to accept the tragic incidents as “the will of the Almighty, who alone has the power of life.”
He concluded by offering prayers for the departed souls, wishing them “Aljanna Firdausi,” and seeking continued blessings and protection for the Makarfi, Kyari, and Tallen families.
This statement comes as a testament to the collective grief and sorrow experienced by the families and a reflection of the profound impact of these losses on the wider Nigerian community.
