Supreme Court Justice Commends CIFCFIN For Fighting Corruption With Cutting-Edge Technology

Abuja, Nigeria – Justice Moore Abraham Aseimo Adumein of the Supreme Court has praised the Chartered Institute of Forensics and Certified Fraud Investigators of Nigeria (CIFCFIN) for its use of cutting-edge technology and forensic tools in combating corruption and financial crimes.

Speaking at the Institute’s 9th Direct membership training graduation and Fellowship award ceremony at the EFCC Academy in Abuja, Justice Adumein declared, “This is a game changer in winning the war on corruption and financial crimes currently bleeding the country dry.”

He was also conferred with a Fellowship of the Institute for his long-standing commitment to anti-corruption efforts.

The Justice, a recognised anti-corruption crusader, emphasised the collective responsibility in fighting corruption.

“Winning the war against corruption is a task for all Nigerians,” he stated, urging citizens to hold themselves accountable and uphold honesty, justice, and equity in their actions.

Dr. Iliyasu Gashinbaki, President and Chairman-in-Council of CICFIN, echoed the Justice’s sentiments, calling him an invaluable ally in the Institute’s mission to eradicate corruption, fraud, and financial crimes.

He further highlighted the crucial role of forensics and fraud investigations in safeguarding Nigeria’s financial system, especially in the face of burgeoning threats posed by the rapid growth of Financial Technology (Fintech) companies.

Gashinbaki cautioned that the rapid expansion of Fintech has brought with it increasing risks of fraud, cybercrimes, and identity theft. He urged the new CIFCFIN graduates to utilize their acquired skills and expertise to tackle these emerging financial crimes plaguing the Nigerian economy.

The 9th Direct Training program saw the graduation of 70 chartered certified members and the bestowing of Fellowships on 15 prominent individuals from diverse fields.
