Nigerian entertainer and filmmaker, Williams Uchemba, has jumped into the ongoing debate about life after death, fiercely defending the existence of heaven and hell.

His response came after popular Instagram user @ceo__ironside declared that there is no life beyond this one.

@ceo__ironside had stated that if there were life after death, his deceased father would have found a way to contact him, perhaps via email. He also argued that those who claim there is life after death have never presented any concrete evidence.

Uchemba, however, didn’t have any of it.  He acknowledged everyone’s right to their own opinion, but he couldn’t stay silent when someone was questioning his reality and the beliefs of countless others.

“My brother, with all love and respect, you are wrong on this one. Please be guided to speak on things you know nothing about and mislead people from what might cost them their eternal life,” Uchemba wrote on his social media page.

“Heaven is real, hell is real. Evidence is found in the testimonies of people who were clinically dead and came back to life, like Daniel Ekechukwu, Iveren Odiegwu, and many others who have similar stories around the world. Give your life to Christ and gain eternal life. Jesus loves you and doesn’t want you to go to hell.”

Uchemba’s response garnered support from fellow celebrity, singer Korede Bello, who added his perspective to the discussion. He used the analogy of a vehicle to emphasise the limitations of language when discussing the spiritual realm.

“If it is possible to be alive but dead inside, then is it not possible to be alive after physical death? The subject matter here is spiritual life, life beyond a material body,” Bello wrote.

He added, “The good news really is that you can be truly alive while still in this body and have the fullness of life long after the body expires.”

Uchemba and Bello’s comments have ignited a new wave of discussion about life after death. While many agree with their stance, others remain unconvinced. The debate continues, with both sides presenting their arguments, leaving the question of the afterlife open for interpretation.
