Edo Poll: EFCC Allegedly Arrests Vote-Buyers
Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes (EFCC) have arrested some suspected vote-buyers in the ongoing Edo Governorship election.
They were arrested in the Egor Local Government Area of the state around 10:00 am.
Officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) are currently not on the ground at the polling unit of PDP’s governorship candidate, Asue Ighodalo.
Idinrio community in Ewohimi, Esan South East Local Government Area, is as calm and quiet as a graveyard.
A Channels Television correspondent on the ground at the polling unit said there was no sign of INEC officials and other political party stakeholders.
Dr. Ighodalo is expected to vote at Okaegben Ward One, polling unit 3, located at the Idrion Vocational Centre in Ewohimi, Edo Central Senatorial District.
