Julius Berger Brightens Futures with Donation To Abuja School For Children In Need
Abuja, Nigeria – Julius Berger Nigeria Plc, a leading engineering construction company, has once again demonstrated its commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) by donating a variety of educational materials to the KNOSK N100 A-Day Charity Secondary School in Kuje, Abuja.
The school, which was founded to provide quality education to children from the poorest households, received a generous donation of cutting-edge laboratory equipment, 20-foot refurbished containers converted into a staff room and laboratory, 200 backpacks, 2,000 notebooks, copies of the literature book “What Sunny Saw in the Sun,” and 50 mosquito nets.
The donation sparked a wave of excitement and gratitude among the school’s staff and students, who thanked Julius Berger for his generosity.
“In deliberately giving to operational communities, Julius Berger always seeks to highlight the importance of such communities to its operations,” said Mr. James Agama, Julius Berger’s Head of Corporate Communications, at the handover ceremony.
He emphasised the company’s commitment to uplifting communities and positively impacting the lives of its beneficiaries.
Mr Kingsley Bangwell, the school’s co-founder, emphasised the importance of providing a conducive learning environment for the children they serve. “Julius Berger’s donations are a blessing.
“We urgently needed a science lab. Now, our students will have access to high-quality equipment comparable to that found in prestigious schools,” he explained.
Mrs Irene Bangwell, co-founder and Head of Academics, expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Julius Berger, highlighting the donation’s transformative impact.
“Julius Berger provided us with the space, equipment, and resources to accelerate learning. “This is a game changer for our students,” she explained.
KNOSK Charity School, founded in 2019, has worked tirelessly to break the cycle of generational poverty by providing quality education to children in underserved communities. The school currently supports 195 children, with 127 receiving full sponsorship.
Julius Berger’s donation demonstrates the company’s commitment to community development and belief in education’s ability to transform lives.
This generous gesture will have a long-term impact, ensuring that children from the poorest households can reach their full potential.
