Nigeria Automotive Industry Award Organisers Call For Collaboration With Stakeholders
As the 3rd edition of Automobiles And Road Safety Initiative’s Nigeria Annual Automotive Industry Award approaches on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at the prestigious Sheraton Hotel in Ikeja, Lagos, “we take this opportunity to request that distinguished stakeholders, as well as corporate entities in the industry within the country and those in the diaspora, partner with us and/or generously donate to the NGO’s” West African Automotive Institute.
According to Samuel Oloyede Oriowo, President of the NGO,
the Nigeria Automotive Industry Award was established to recognise entrepreneurial spirit, encourage creativity, and reward excellence among key players in Nigeria’s motoring industry.
The West Africa Automotive Institute is an Automotive Research and Competency Solutions’ Training Academy; it was founded with the primary goal of establishing a nationwide and, in the medium term, a West Africa sub-regional force with the goal of providing training and skill development to our sub-region’s youths; and it also aims to empower all individuals through improved skills, knowledge, and employment opportunities.
Millions of Nigerian graduates are currently roaming the streets in search of non-existent white collar jobs.
The West Africa Automotive Institute is determined, through partnerships, collaboration, and donations from stakeholders, to reduce the rate of unemployment among these youths by admitting many of them to Free Tuition Automotive Training Courses that will shape them into skilled automotive experts and ‘auto-preneurs’.
In this regard, the Automobiles And Road Safety Initiative seeks cash donations, lecture halls and theatres, administrative buildings, and mosques for the West Africa Automotive Institute, whose permanent campus is located in Ikeji-Ile Ijesa, Oriade Local Government Council, Osun State.
Each donor’s donation must be properly named after him/her in order to project a commendable legacy for such donors; additionally, during the upcoming 3rd Nigeria Annual Automotive Industry Award presentation, intending donors will be celebrated admirably this his/her life time with the Nigeria Automotive Industry Inspirational Life-Time Achievement Award, as well as decorated with the insignia of the NGO’s Grand Patron/ Patroness.
Automobiles And Road Safety Initiative (ref: www.waai.com.ng/promoters) was founded in 2013 with the approval of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) and has actively participated in a series of automotive safety advocacy events, workshops, and seminars for stakeholders across the country.
