On Odili’s Birthday, Governor Fubara Lauds His Leadership Qualities

Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has praised former Rivers State Governor, Dr. Peter Odili, for his leadership and fatherly mentorship as he celebrates his 76th birthday on Thursday, August 15.

Governor Fubara, in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Nelson Chukwudi, on Wednesday, described Dr. Odili as an exceptional statesman, a living legend, and a catalyst for bringing several individuals into the political spotlight in Rivers State and across the country.

He described former Governor Odili’s fatherly role in assisting the State Government in navigating the current political situation as exemplary, adding that “the State needs leaders like Dr Peter Odili to take the people to the Promised Land of our dream.”

“You are the epitome of genuine leadership, a mentor and the preeminent political colossus in charge of elevating every member of the State’s political class without regard for financial gain.

“You have continued to speak out on critical state issues as a devoted crusader for justice, equity, and fairness in your pursuit of a peaceful and united Rivers State.

“I, on behalf of my family and the good people of Rivers State, pray that Almighty God continues to guide, prosper, and bless you with resounding sterling health, many more fruitful years of celebration, and distinguished service to humanity, Rivers State, and Nigeria,” he said.
