NDDC Holds Thanksgiving, Unveils Staff Club House
Ogbuku unveils the Staff Clubhouse
The management of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) stated that it has every reason to thank God for preserving and directing the Commission’s affairs as it repositions for better service delivery to the people of the Niger Delta.
Speaking at a special thanksgiving service at the Salvation Ministry headquarters in Port Harcourt, NDDC Managing Director Dr Samuel Ogbuku emphasised the importance of thanking God for the organization’s accomplishments and progress thus far.
According to Seledi Thompson-Wakama, Director of Corporate Affairs, the NDDC Chief Executive Officer, who was accompanied by the Executive Director of Project, Sir Victor Antai; the Executive Director of Corporate Services, Hon. Ifedayo Abegunde; and other Commission Directors, unveiled the Commission’s staff Club House.
Ogbuku emphasised the importance of giving thanks and “glorifying the Lord for guiding and protecting the Commission and its workforce in their activities.”
He stated that the Commission would take every opportunity to thank God for divine mercy and faithfulness over the years, noting, “We have every reason to bless the name of the Lord.”
Pastor David Ibiyeomie, General Overseer of Salvation Ministries, stated in his sermon that the NDDC would find favour in the eyes of God because it had chosen to glorify the Almighty Father.
He prayed for peace in the NDDC, stating that by honouring God, the Commission had attracted more blessings for itself and the Niger Delta region.
The cleric declared that the NDDC and its leadership would receive God’s blessings because they revered the Almighty Father.
Speaking at the staff clubhouse’s unveiling, the NDDC CEO emphasised the importance of having a recreational centre for employees to unwind and rejuvenate while serving the people of the region.
Aside from serving as a relaxation centre, he stated that the clubhouse would help the NDDC staff bond into a cohesive family that would work together harmoniously.
He was delighted with the clubhouse’s amenities, which included a pool, gymnasium, lodging, and restaurant, among other things.
Hon. Abegunde, Executive Director of Corporate Services, applauded the initiative, noting that it would benefit the Commission’s staff.
He stated that the clubhouse was a necessary recreational facility because hardworking employees needed to relax at regular intervals to recharge.
