Zulum Extols, Congratulates UN Deputy Secretary-General At 63
Babagana Umara Zulum, Governor of Borno State, has praised Amina Mohammed, UN Deputy Secretary-General, for her humanitarian and altruistic qualities.
In a statement released on Saturday by his Senior Special Assistant on New Media, the Governor congratulated the UN Deputy Secretary-General (DSG) on her 63rd birthday.
According to the statement, Governor Zulum stated, “The DSG has demonstrated total commitment to improving the condition of people in Borno affected by the over a decade-long Boko Haram insurgency.”
“She personally visited Borno on numerous occasions, including difficult-to-reach communities like Banki.”
“She has advocated for Nigeria and Borno, particularly at the international level, since taking up the position of Deputy Secretary-General.”
“On behalf of the people and government of Borno State, Madam Deputy Secretary-General, I extend congratulations on your 63rd birthday. I wish you many more happy years and pray that Almighty Allah continues to bless you.
Zulum thanked the UN DSG for her tireless efforts to support Borno’s recovery and peace-building process as the state emerges from the insurgency.
