Otti Commisrates With Army Over Soldier’s Death In Aba, Urges Residents To Remain Calm.
Dr. Alex Otti, Governor of Abia State, has been informed of an incident that occurred on Friday evening in the Milverton area of Aba involving Nigerian Army personnel and criminal elements.
According to Mr. Chukwunenye Alajemba, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Homeland Security, the incident resulted in the death of one soldier and the injury of another, who is currently being treated at a hospital.
In a statement issued by Kazie Uko, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Otti expressed his condolences to the Nigeria Army and praised the officers and men of the force for remaining calm in the face of this unprovoked attack.
He specifically thanked the Commander 14 Brigade, Ohafia, Brigadier General O.O. Diya, for his prompt intervention in ensuring Aba’s peace.
Governor Otti urged the public to remain calm and advised residents to go about their lawful business without fear, as well as to cooperate with relevant security agencies by providing them with useful information as they work to apprehend the perpetrators of this heinous attack.
