Inter-Society Accuses South East Governors Of Ignoring Fulani Jihadists’ Daily Killings Of Defenceless Christians
The International Society for Civil Liberties and the Rule of Law (Intersociety), has said that nine Christians have died in Nigeria alone, out of every ten people killed in Africa in 2023.
In its most recent report, released on Sunday, April 28, and made available to Realnews, Intersociety also claimed that there is a deadly crisis and persecution of Christians in 28 of Africa’s 54 countries.
According to the report, Christian worship and other freedoms may be lost in Igboland and Nigeria within the next 50 years.
According to Intersociety, governors and governments in the South East are presiding over the destruction of the environment and wildlife in Igbo land, and hypocrites and fakers outnumber true Christian faith defenders in Nigeria.
According to Intersociety’s Special Report dated February 14, 2024, more than 8,200 defenceless Christians were hacked to death in Nigeria between January 2023 and January 2024, and over 8,000 were kidnapped, with 10%, or 800, unable to return home alive.
The report also stated that Nigeria has recorded over 150, 000 religious-related deaths since the July 2009 Boko Haram uprising, with at least 100,000 defenceless Christians and 46,000 moderate Muslims killed.
According to the report, more than 4,000 people died who were not Christians or Muslims.
Direct killings accounted for at least 100,000 deaths, while indirect killings, which included deaths from state and non-state custodial torture, shootings, and hackings, accounted for the remaining 50,000 deaths.
According to the report, between July 2009 and January 2024, at least 19, 000 churches, including over 2000 sacred temples of the “African Instituted Churches” and Jewish religion, as well as over 1000 sanctuaries of traditional religionists, were willfully destroyed or burned down.
According to the report, approximately 2,500 Christian schools and other sacred places of learning were also affected.
It went on to say that in the first four months of 2024, from January to April, the number of Christians killed and abducted increased to an estimated 800 and 1000, respectively.
