Sapele Port, Electricity, Security, Top Agenda As Okpe Leaders Meet In Lagos
A conference of Okpe leaders in different parts of the world will take place in Lagos on Wednesday, May 15, 2024.
‘’The Okpe Union General Assembly will bring together 300 delegates from branches across Asia, North and South America, Africa, Europe, and Australia at Okpe House, 65 Moshalashi Street, Obalende.
Barrister Kingsley Akpederin, Secretary General of the Okpe Union, announced this on Sunday in Lagos: “The Okpe Union Conference comes at a critical time for Okpe leaders all over the world.” To promote long-term development and improve people’s quality of life, we need to think creatively and collaboratively.
According to a statement issued by Okpe Union headquarters on Sunday morning, the delegates will examine the Okpe Union’s condition, discuss political, social, and cultural issues, and recommend practical steps for implementing Delta State’s development strategy.
The statement identified international good governance standards, socioeconomic development, and methods for advancing Okpe interests as critical issues for delegates from around the world to consider.
”The delegates will pay the most attention to the President General’s State of the Union address, reports from Okpe Union branches and regions, and the State of the Nigerian Nation and Delta State.
According to the statement, men and women of action from Nigeria and abroad will think in larger terms, act on a broader plane of ideas, and reach positive conclusions that will give Okpe Union and Delta State a new impetus.
The conference on May 15, 2024, at 10 a.m., will be held in an open and friendly environment.
”The Okpe Union, a socio-cultural group, is the mouthpiece of all the people of the Okpe nation and the oldest registered ethnic union in Nigeria,” the statement said.
