Uzodimma Offers Automatic Employment To Two Imo Indigenes With First Class In Law School
Senator Hope Uzodimma, the governor of Imo State, has approved the immediate employment of Mr. Chinonso Oparaji and Mrs. Chipuruime Udeh, two Imo State natives who graduated with honours from both Imo State University and the Nigerian Law School.
He gave his approval during a courtesy call on him at Government House in Owerri on Monday, along with the Vice Chancellor of Imo State University, Prof. U.U. Chukwumaeze (SAN), the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Prof. C. K. Okorie (SAN), and Imo State’s Chief Judge, Hon. Theresa Chikeka.
Receiving them, the Governor expressed his delight and happiness with the news of two Imo State Law graduates earning First Class at the Law School, stating that “it was a thing of joy and they needed to be appreciated.”
He went on to say that after they had distinguished themselves with excellent results worthy of emulation, he was delighted to further encourage them by approving their immediate employment.
The Governor stated that recognising the duo served as a source of encouragement for other Imo students and an example of hard work paying off.
He praised the Vice Chancellor of IMSU, Prof Chukwumaeze SAN, as well as the management and staff of Imo State University, for restoring hope to the university “during this period of renewed hope agenda.”
He encouraged other students to understand that by being committed and dedicated to their studies, they can achieve great things.
Governor Uzodimma congratulated the graduates on behalf of the Imo State government and urged them to do everything they could to correct the system and society’s ills, as the rot runs deep.
Mr. Oparaji and Mrs. Udeh, who were accompanied by relatives, responded to the Governor’s gesture with joy, describing it as a reward for their hard work.
They encouraged other Law students, as well as those studying other courses at the University, to always give their all if they wanted to succeed.
Senator Osita Isunaso, representing Imo West in the National Assembly, the Secretary to the State Government, Chief Cosmas Iwu, the Chief of Staff, Nnamdi Anyaehie, and the Governor’s Principal Secretary, Dr. Irene Chima, all joined the Governor in welcoming his guests.
