Nigerian Government Declares Tuesday, Wednesday Public Holidays For Eid-el-Fitr
The Nigerian government has declared Tuesday, April 9th and Wednesday, April 10th, 2024 as public holidays to commemorate the Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
Dr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, Minister of Interior, made the declaration on behalf of the Federal Government and congratulated all Muslim Ummah for the successful completion of the fasting in the holy
month of Ramadan.
Tunji-Ojo urged the Muslim Ummah to imbibe and practise the virtues of kindness, love, tolerance, peace, good neighbourliness, and compassion, as exemplified by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon Him).
He urged Nigerians to continue to work together to improve and achieve peace and unity in the country.
