Chinese President Sends Congratulations To The 37th AU Summit.
Chinese President Xi Jinping has congratulated the African Union (AU) on its 37th summit.
Xi stated that the world is experiencing profound changes that have not been seen in a century, and that the Global South, represented by China and Africa, is thriving, which will have a significant impact on the course of world history.
According to Xi, the African Union brings African countries together to seek strength through unity, promote integration, and build free trade areas.
The AU’s successful accession to the G20 has increased Africa’s representation and voice in global governance, and China extends heartfelt congratulations, he said.
The Chinese president emphasised that relations between China and Africa have strengthened over the last year. Following the successful conclusion of the China-Africa Leaders’ Dialogue, the two sides agreed to support each other in exploring their modernization paths and jointly creating a favourable environment for realising their development visions, Xi added.
The new session of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation will be held in 2024, according to Xi.
He stated that he is ready to collaborate with African leaders, with a focus on the benefits of people on both sides, to develop a new blueprint for China-Africa cooperation and promote the joint establishment of a high-level China-Africa community with a shared future.
